Paris, France

Bonjour mes amis, I am in Paris!!! (I was actually but fine) Okay, I'm super excited to finally start doing more entries in international countries, not because I hate my country, but because I love exploring, and I'm ready for a few months of traveling nonstop.
Paris is excellent, and we all know there is a reason why it is the most visited city in the world, and why it is so famous. Many articles and blogs talk about Paris, and me as a teenage girl have no different opinion then all of them, I love the croissants just as much, and hate the rats maybe even more (glad I didn't see any because I might faint), so when coming up on how to be creative, and I try to do that a lot, I pondered lots what I could write about.
I spent only three days in Paris; honestly, it was rushed. I crammed everything you need to see in Paris into the little time I had in the city, so I wrote instead about what I thought was the least worth it. I know this is no innovation among blog writers, but it is for me, so let me be.

Notre Dame
I was so excited to go there, my grandma had always told me how pretty it was before the fire, and I was so excited that I managed to be in Paris right on time to see the opening of Notre Dame. Honestly, I shouldn't have put my expectations so high. Maybe it was the fact that there was an overwhelming amount of crowds around the cathedral that visited there absolutely feral and horrendous, or the fact that we couldn't get tickets, so I just saw it from the outside, with the crowds, I don't know, it wasn't very pleasant.
I'm not saying you shouldn't go, but there are many more impressive cathedrals around Europe, even the Vatican, that were way less overcrowded than going there. The Cologne Cathedral and even Metz are beautiful and receive much less attention than Notre Dame. Of course, they are not in major cities, but I was so horrified by going there that the idea of returning gives me chills.

Disneyland Paris
I know what you expect me to say: it was a horrible experience, but no! This is a trick question, and I meant to say that I regret not going to Disneyland. I can be called a Disney adult, even if not an adult, however you all want, but I wanted to go to Disneyland so much. I don’t entirely regret not going there because we only had three days, and I value learning about French art and culture more. Still, if I had stayed one extra day in Paris, I think I might have given up and visited Disneyland Paris.
I am guilty of saying I love Disney and everything related to it, and was so excited to visit it, also I'm big on roller coasters and anything similar to that so I was kind of disappointed that I couldn't go, there's been a long time since I've last been to an amusement park.

Palace of Versailles
This was the biggest disappointment ever, as I was putting my hopes and expectations up (once again), for it was such an uninteresting place to visit. The palace overall is beautiful, but it's so big that we got stuck in rooms and overheated, even though it was December. The crowds wouldn't move and we couldn't see anything along the rooms, and honestly, there's nothing too interesting there to see, it's quite nice and pretty, maybe I'm too much of a history geek, but the place just felt too appreciative not to tell any story.
When you think about going to the Palace of Versailles, you need a whole day trip, an entire day you could be exploring Paris (or Disneyland), and you are there. It might be your type of thing, but it was not mine. It was not unenjoyable, but I wouldn't do it again.

The Flower Restaurants
Hot take, I'm not super enthusiastic about French cuisine. When I got to Paris, I knew I would not try to overthink my restaurants as usual, as I don't enjoy the food. But, as I got there and saw what I thought were the cute flower restaurants, I never thought they were the equivalent of pictures on the menu in Italy.
In Brazil, the standard red flags are the photos in the menu, so when I saw the flowers, I didn't expect it to mean bad food. I went to one of those and ate overpriced, mediocre food until I realized they were all around. Those restaurants are the typical tourist traps that make tourists pay absurd prices for “local authentic” food that will be extremely mediocre and taste okay—a skip.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!
